About me

Hello and welcome to Yellow’s The Word!

I’m Em, a British teenager who started this blog as a place to share my writing and adventures. Over the past few years, this blog has grown into so much more – an outlet, which I can use to discuss various topics such as feminism, politics and mental health, but also a place where I love coming to engage with the friendly, diverse and supportive blogging community that I didn’t even know existed before typing those first few words and pressing “publish”.

Yellow’s The Word has documented the various paths I have travelled along for the past two years now, and I can’t wait to see what the future has to hold, for me and my blog. In a matter of months, I will be starting university and studying two subjects that I am very passionate about – politics and French. If you’d like, you can head over to my French blog L’autre cote de la Manche where I am not quite as active, but hope to be soon!

Although my writing (and spelling) may not always be perfect, I enjoy what I write, and I hope you do too. I’m always open for collaboration and guest posts with other bloggers, so feel free to visit my “contact” page if you’d like to get in touch.

Em 🙂

  1. This blog is amazing and I love all the same things as you! Scouting, politics, feminism and world affairs! My blog is mainly about the last one though. I try to combine the two tings I love: things happening in the world and writing.
I’d love you to check it out.

  2. Great description of your adventure “up north!”
I have been to Holmfirth a few time… it’s famous for being the lovely, quaint location of the programme, “Last of the Summer Wine” many years ago.
